How to Chop a Bell Pepper

Wash the pepper(s) and remove the stickers.  With a sharp knife, cut the top off the pepper.

Try to have your knife as close as you can to the stem of the pepper. It makes breaking off the meat around it easier.

Break the meat off the stem and discard stem.

Cut the pieces from the stem into the size slices or cubes called for in the recipe and reserve.  Remove the core from the center of the pepper “bowl” and discard it.

Halve the main pepper “bowl”  and chop according to recipe directions.
